Spent a couple of hours looking through the latest issues of ArtForum and Art in America. These pieces of art caught my eye.
I've wanted to make silhouette paintings for a long time. This is very inspiring. They are made with gunpowder-generated gelatin silver print on direct positive paper.
I do not have a strong appreciation for photography as art, however occasionally I will see an experimental use of the medium and really latch on. Here is an example, where the artist soaked the photograph prints in the lake water that he was shooting.
