My sister's Xmas tree fell over, breaking one of my nephew's favorite ornaments. So I tried to turn the situation around by creating another with papier-mâché. It was a very satisfying experience.

Sometimes my photography can be quite spontaneous. Here is an example where I was crossing a tiny footbridge and saw this incredible plant.
Saw these unusual "mud and mineral balls" in a store in Asheville, North Carolina. I can't remember the correct name for them, but absolutely love them.
A few years ago, I completed an installation comparing The Black Plague to modern diseases. Of course, this followed that I researched antique rat traps. While in a museum, I finally got to see one in person. I also ran across this cat mummy, which is pretty incredible. It's very possible it may not be authentic, but I love it regardless. Visited the impressive Denver Art Museum for the first time. I was joined with my aunt. The museum has a great collection and I was positively affected by their engagement of the public with a working artist.
Today I sorted and cleaned up my oil paints. I threw many away that had dried up. I'm getting ready to paint an anatomy picture of a dissected leg.
I also painted some small wood panels to prepare for smaller paintings. |
