Today I started by adding more layers of crackle medium.
After that I carved another torch. They keep getting better and better.
Then I decided to use my power sander to smooth it out a little. While doing this, the sander suddenly made the worst sound ever and small, sharp pieces of metal flew everywhere. I can't believe I didn't get hurt. I contacted Sears to let them know and to see about getting a new one. They were extremely unhelpful and even rude at times. I quickly learned that Sears will stand behind their Craftsman hand tools for a lifetime, but power tools are cheaply made with composite metal and only have warranties for one year.
